We've had good conversations in this group in the past. What does everyone think about the new season?

I've tried my hand at decoding this show for some time now, and personally, I can't really think of any stunning revelations that came out of this season's premiere episode.
Jack's a dick! (We already knew that)
is Hugo delusional?, Gifted? Was Charlie a ghost?
who did Hurley see in the shack?
I have yet to go back and re-watch for details, so give me some insight.

Also, two new shows -- if you like Lost, check out Eli Stone afterwards; it has potential. And, Breaking Bad on AMC is f'ing awesome.

Here's what I think so far. I think one of the Oceanic Six is in the casket, somebody Kate doesn't care for. But who are the other three who made it off the island, and which of those three is in the casket? I still think all this could be taking place inside Hugo's head, which would be kind of neat, but seems doubtful. Yeah, I think Charlie's a ghost (or maybe not).

Charlie is a figment of Hugo's imagination, as Dave was. I believe the person in the casket is Ben. Jack said neither friend nor family, Kate said why would I want to go.

I think the man in the casket is John -- could not survive off the island...

just my $0.02

3-4. Cool, I'm thinking it's either Ben or Locke too. Anybody think it's somebody else?

LOL. DO we all take a drink when they finally open the casket and say "Hi BoB!"
My opinionations-
Don't think Hurely is delusional..not totally anyway,
I mean Locke and Ben both saw or heard an invisible man, Locke saw "tall Walt"...Don't know if he was real or not.
Also somehow Ben magically brought Locke's dead father to the island. Did he really, or was that an illusion/delusion? Just seems Hugo is not the only one seeing weird things.

I think the reason we believe Hugo is delusional is because we know he was in "the bin"..but is he really? How could he have seen the shack ?..He didn't know it existed. Did you see the looks on Ben and Locke's faces when he mentioned it?

As for the box..could be anyone..It could even be Hurley..although it's a bit small. LOL
I mean I wouldn't think Jack and Kate would be so uncaring about him, but then again we don't know what happened after the last time he saw Jack. Maybe he was reveled as one of "the others"?
It could also be Sawyer. I would see Jack saying not friend or family ,and Kate, I could see her being hurt by Sawyer in many ways. Let's not forget his last love.... I don't' really think it' s either of these two , But just looking at any possibilities.
AS for theories on what 's it all about. Got me. LOL
I heard of the time travel one, and that seemed like a good answer, but I don't know it gets more and more confusing.
At this point, I'm wondering if it's like "Sliders"..they're in an alternate dimension.. or better yet, that X files where Mulder finally meets an alien and takes him back home..(Loved that,"I'm keeping Him", LOL ) and then later you find they were buried alive with mysterious goo making them delusional.
That's it! they're gonna find them all buried underground being slowly digested by delusional goo.;). there ya go..SO easy!:)

Looking at the obituary Jack carried around in last year's finale, the person in the casket was a "J. -antham" - you couldn't read his or her entire name. The "J" certainly implies that it might be Jacob or, perhaps, someone we haven't met yet. Maybe it's the owner of the mysterious eye that Hurley saw in Jacob's cabin. Most people seem to think that was Locke, but remember that last episode Locke was genuinely surprised that Hurley had seen the cabin, implying that it wasn't his eye peering at Hurley that night.

I'm starting to think Casket Dude might be a red herring. It might not be one of the Oceanic Six, and it might be somebody we haven't even met yet.
